This course (Part 1) is an interoductory course that covers two lessons.
Lesson 1: In the first lesson, we’re going to talk about what Product Marketing means and explain the difference between Product Marketers and Product Managers, and why Product Marketers are so important, when a Product Marketer should be hired, and the different types of Product Marketers that exist for every investment stage.
Lesson 2: Then in the next lesson, we’re going to Build a Plan and talk about setting expectations, so you’ll know why you’re building the product that you’re building and what success looks like. I highly recommend that founders, or teams planning to hire a product marketer review these two core lessons before diving into the work of building a go-to-market plan and launching your product.
Once you complete Part 1, in Part 2, we walk through the actual GTM plan itself in Lessons 3, 4 and 5.

Yasmeen currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors of TechWadi (a 501c3 non-profit org dedicated to creating technology programs between the United States and the greater Middle East) and has spent a number of hours mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs on product marketing, commercialization and growth marketing globally, winning TechWadi's "Mentor of the Year" in 2016.
She's led workshops for IBM, Harvard Extension School, and presented and mentored at Business France's IMPACT team, the Netherlands's Startup Delta team and the MIT Enterprise Forum.
